Are you using a laptop computer with a track pad? I've had similar issues until I disabled the track pad.

    Describe the movement.

    Have you scanned for malware?

What happens if you flip the mouse belly up?

    What OS?

the movement is taking the mouse cursor sideways to the end of the screen and when its there ist stuck there still moving. Even if I belly up the mouse i still get the same effect. I am from Microsoft previously and I am sure I have no malware.

    I ask again, what OS?

    Have you tried another mouse?

And being from Microsoft does not mean you cannot be or get infected. So I ask again, have you scanned for malware?

Do you have more than one mouse attached to your system simultaneously? I use a USB wireless mouse and my wife uses a PS2 connected mouse. Sometimes the PS2 mouse drops and dangles under the desk, making the USB mouse cursor move on it's own, usually going to a screen edge and quivering (even when disconnected from USB). Also, do you have the most recent mouse drivers for your device?

Yes, I have ran a boot time scan and a deep scan on my pc, it didnt resolve it. My operating system is windows 7, tried other mouse too

Are you saying that you used a different wireless mouse and it did the same thing? When you did that, did you also use a different USB wireless connection device (the tiny little transmitter thingamajig that you plug into the USB port to send and receive wireless signals)? If you used a different wireless USB device and a different mouse, and it continued to misbehave in the way you described then it's very unlikely to be a hardware problem. Although it could be a fried USB port.

Did you try using a different USB port?

Turn off Remote Access just to be sure someone else is not controlling your computer. (You can turn it back on later once we rule out that this in not the problem).
Right click My Computer and select Properties.
In the left pane click on Remote Settings.
On the Remote tab of the box that pops up, uncheck/untick Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer.
