I get a problem sometimes when I play a .mov file in quicktime. The audio plays at a lower pitch than normal. Some websites do this issue and I use Firefox 11. Earlier versions of Firefox also did the same thing.

    System:
    3.2ghz P4
    XP Home
    2GB Ram
    Lexicon U42s Audio Interface

Let me know what other info you need that may help.
    Thanks!

    Greetings, p914...

I'm assuming you've bypassed that Lexicon U42s Audio Interface for troubleshooting purposes? If not, please do so, see if your symptoms change...

    Quicktime is up to date?

Do the same symptoms present while using Internet Explorer, or for that matter any other browser?

You might also let us see what we're dealing with: download and run Speccy, a free system information tool.

When the scan completes, click 'File', 'Save as Text file', name the report, and save to an easily found location, such as your Desktop.

Be advised: the report will display your IP Address and Windows Product Key. You may delete this information if you so wish.

Then attach that file to your next post per these instructions: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post.

    Hi Caliban,
I updated quicktime to the latest version. I use the Lexicon as my soundcard for the system. I'd have to reinstall the old sound cards to try to bypass the Lex. I record audio all the time and use Adobe Audition 3.0. The audio sounds good in Audition and I downloaded audio that had the pitch affected in Firefox and Explorer and it sounds fine in Audition.

I'll download Speccy, run it and attach.

Well, I fixed the issue. The sample rate in QuickTime which is the browser default player was set to 48K and I reset it to 44.1. Now all the websites play correctly.
