   I have recovered some .MOV files from a Mac hard drive using my Windows machine. I am unable to open these files. I have tried to use Quicktime for Windows. Is there any way of opening these files. Any info would be greatly recieved. Thanks

   Try VLC http://majorgeeks.com/VLC_media_player_d4674.html
   it can play almost anything thrown at it. To play safe, just designate it to play .MOV and mpeg-4 to see if the files can be viewed.
   
   Later you can go into VLC and have it handle all your audio and viseo files if you wish.
   
   If you prefer not to install it, there is a portable version that can be run from a USB stick.
