Hello, my problem goes like this :

I had Windows XP Pro installed on a 20 GB partition.
I upgraded to 4 GB of RAM and installed Vista Ultimate X64 on the secondary 100 GB partition.
I booted into Vista, and the Win XP partition became secondary. I though i could merge it with my third partition, so I tried to format it first, but I was denied that action, because it was "an active partition". I got stubborn and booted off the XP install CD, and used the partition manager to delete and recreate the partition.

Next problem was the NTLDR missing.
Fixed that with the Vista install DVD (Repair your computer / went to command prompt , and fixed it via "bootrec.exe"). It fixed the NTLDR problem, but the boot sector is still on my secondary partition (D: ).

I have tried EasyBCD to move the boot sector from D: to C: , but got a boot error (that was saying something about using the Vista DVD to repair the problem).

How can I move the boot manager onto the partition where Vista is installed (C: ) ?

    Many thanks,
    -Alex
