I am cleaning up my PC and on an external HD i have a lot of files, plus over 1000 photos that are saved in Jpg format and what i would like to do is put them all in one folder.
is there a way i can select all the photos without selecting the other files or will i have to do the one at a time????:confused

i am running Vista Home Premium

You could simply sort the folder by file type and all the Jpg's will be next to each other. You can then highlight the lot of them.

You could also go into a command prompt and copy *.jpg to your destination folder of choice.

Be very aware that the external hard drive may be formatted as FAT32. FAT32 has a file size limit of 4 GB. DO NOT place over 1000 photos in one folder if the size will be over 4G because you might end up with corruption and lose all your photos.
