Mozilla Firebird cache

Where is it located? Anyone know?

 

Should be same as Mozilla Edit/Preferences/Advanced

 

If you type "about:cache" (without the quotes) into your url window then all the information you want is there.

EDIT: Don't know where the underscore came from after "about" but it shouldn't be there.

 

THE DEFAULT LOCATION, for XP, which is what you probably want, is
Docs and Sett's\username\Application Data\Phoenix\Profiles\YourProfile\ ...\xxxxx.slt\

and for Win 98, it's in the same soirt of path in Windows\Application Data\.

(You can make a tiny batch file that points to it, to empty the Firebird Cache with a single hotkey click after any browsing session. Or you can make a simple shortcut that will display the open Cache window in Explorer with a single hotkey, if all you want to do is INSPECT the cache.)

AND, ... You can move the Cache to anywhere you want it by simply editing the user.js file to say sthg like this:

// Path to Cache folder:
user_pref("browser.cache.disk.parent_directory","C:\\Documents and Settings\\<username>\\Application Data\\Phoenix");

That's from mine, and it puts my cache right under the Phoenix folder. That makes it really easy to write batch files that access the Cache.
