MP3 download to what device?

I am off to India soon and intend to go to internet cafes to download my favorite talk shows to listen to while touring.
I think a regular MP3 player will not do the job?
I would like to plug in the device to the computer,and then download,like an external hd/device.
anyone have any suggestions?

Other phones have similar software, copy to the phone from your computer like a hard drive and play.
