MP3DirectCut infected with Trojan.Abwiz.F

    I've been using mp3DirectCut for quite some time now to edit MP3's. Since the latest update of Symantec Norton Antivirus virus definitions the autodetec function of the antivirus program deletes the exe file of mp3DirectCut and reports that it contained the "Trojan.Abwiz.F" trojan.
    I've downloaded a newer version of the application and scanned the exe file but got the same result. Does this mean that I will no longer be able to use mp3DirectCut ?

    Sounds like Symantec AV is in this last virus DAT update picking that .exe as a false positive result, as they generally fix these quite quickly you wil have to wait until the next DAT update to know for certain if its now not registering as a trojan.

    or report it to Symantec as a legit app thats flagging a false positive virus alert.
