Mp500 printer problems

    Hey guys i have a problem with my printer,the problem is it wont print out
    Documents.
    It however DOES print out JPEG images,HTML sites and scanned images fine.

    I have tried to clean print-heads,rollers and everything else in the printer maintenance tab
    The page set up is A4 plain paper set to fit page
    I have tried both colour and black & white options.
    I have also tried this on another computer and iv also updated the drivers.
    still no luck.
    So can anyone help me please ?

    What program(s) are you using to print "documents"? We need to look at software configuration for those.
    Also you need to mention what version of windows you are running.

    Try to restore all software you used to print documents to it's default settings. :)

    I'm Running Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit) and the programs I'v tried to print are from Open Office and Wordpad, neither print.

    About a month ago they printed documents fine,but now they don't.

    It may be that the black head is so clogged that cleaning via the software will not work. You may have to clean the head with water. Remove the cartridges first because trying to remove the head with the cartridges will damage the printer.

    Edit: I believe their are actually 2 black cartridges in this printer. One is pigment black. This is the one that probably has the clogged head.

    From notepad, click on File then page setup. Next click the printer button at the lower right. Make sure the correct printer is selected in the popup box and then click the Properties button to the right of the printer selection.
    What you are doing is making sure that "print to file" is somehow not selected. If that shows, nothing will print but the file will be somewhere on your computer instead.
