Noticed Microsoft Updater was not allowing some updates so followed the links through MS Update and ran their Mr. Fix It Program. System went Tits Up after that. All Log Files attached were run and generated in "Safe Mode" and doing a normal reboot after cleaning instructions followed shows desktop icons still take 10-15 minutes to load, the tool bar at the bottom sometimes pops right up, at other times its on it own schedule. At that I Cntrl-Alt-Del to reboot in Safe Mode again to post these files. Also note that I have to kill both explorer and svchost, "End Now", when going through the reboot process. This was the kids old computer and I want to do a complete software rebuild from scratch but only have the original Service Pak 2 Installation Disk. If there is a way to do this to get a clean install from scratch and it makes more sense after the experts read the files, please feel free to make that recommendation and any helpful links. I tried last night and could not get it to work. It used to be simple, format c: /s/v but Bill or somebody decided it needed to be improved. Like I said, Mr. Fix It Didn't.
    Thanks in advance.

You are not having a malware problem. I suggest you post in the software forum for further assistance.

Since you are not having any malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
