mr major geek needed. cant download!

when i use internet explorer, it seems to have gone really slowwwwwww!

i have only recently reformatted my computer

also i cant download some things for example, Directx, IE7 and Macromedia Shockwave! When i try and download that, it takes me to the download page, says 'when you see the image your download is complete', but nothing happens!!

it's really annoying

my sound has stopped working aswell. i have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, checked that it hasn't been disabled in bios, checked that it hasnt been muted, checked speakers are plugged in and are on.

please help me

my girlfriend is on holiday and this gives me chance to play online but can't with no visuals or sound!!

 

Sounds like you might have picked up a nasty, suggest you do a sweep of your files with a good Malware scanner

 

I suggest using Mozilla for internet for starters and try to download directx and what not that way.
