On the IE browser menubar: Tools > Internet Options > Programs > E-mail

Does anybody know how I can add Yahoo to this drop-down list? Thank you.

Instead of IE, open up Outlook Express or Outlook and click on Tools/Accounts, Then you can add Yahoo to that list. You might have to also go into Yahoo mail and see if you need to change anything in there to forward it to your POP3 account. :) :D Then you won't need it in the IE programs box.

Thanks for your help. I went thru the steps but still can't get the test e-mail thru the system. I says it doesn't like my e-mail address (which I've been using for years at Yahoo).

The reason I am trying to set this up is because sometimes, when you want to send an e-mail to somebody from their link on a website (webmasters, etc.), when you click their email address, it will open Outlook, which, as it turns out, is the default e-mail application in Windows. I am trying to add Yahoo to the drop-down list in Control Panel > Mail so that Yahoo will open, not Outlook. I've never even been in Outlook until today (based on the suggestions from the first poster).

Now we're on the same page, thanks for understanding my feeble attempt to communicate! :) I just downloaded YahooPop but haven't installed it yet. I sent the authors an email to see if this is what I need. I appreciate all your help and will follow-up on this thread when I know more. Thanks again.

What I dont like about it is that if a person removes the cookies like I like to do. then it will ask you to log in every time I guess I can handle this.

I could save the cookies but. I rather not. all cookies must go
