Here we go again! Now I got this one: MS antispyware 2009 - this one is bad because it has affected by Boot Up! When I try to re-boot the computer it takes me to the Admin/Owner userID and Password dialog box (which I normally never use) - I put in my password as Owner and I get the Microsoft error message that says XP has to close, bla bla bla --- and when I try to go to SAFE MODE it lets me but the Safe Mode screen is black blank with the words "safe Mode" in all four corners. Why isnt safe mode coming up normally? Gosh, what has this malcious virus gotten into??? HELP HELP THANKS!

    XP with SP2 PC

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Well that was a very bad idea. That is your first line of defense.

If you cannot run anything, we cannot help you. You should first check to see if you can do anything from Safe Boot mode. See if Task Manager will run by pressing CTRL-SHIFT-ESC. If it does, then click File, New Task (Run...) and enter explorer.exe and click OK. Does explorer run and bring up your Desktop? If not, you should look into doing the below which requires your Windows XP CD.
