I use a SSD(solid state drive) so mem is at a premium.
After getting an update, framework 2 has become 185meg, and FW 3 has become 90 meg.
When trying to uninstall, a message pops up that it won't be allowed.
It may have something to do w/ a repeated cycle when updating, and I need to be reminded how to shut off auto updates.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Sorry, I shoulda known better.
Running Windows XP, on a T23 thinkpad.
While taking a poker client update, the SSD would "stay on" and fill w/o accomplishing anything. The client never would boot, but the mem would return. I uninstalled and reinstalled w/ success. The only reason I even took the update, was in thinking that may be the problem b/c it happened in the past.
This time it seem to have effected FW 2&3 in the update.
I do have some self taught tech exp, and the "help" gives a way to uninstall FW but it states not for the novice.
    Thank you for the response.

I found the files that need to be deleted, but they are protected and can't be deleted. How do I work around this? It seems to be an 87K file repeated over and over w/ an incrementing number!!

Thank you PLODR, that eventually solved the problem.
Is that pot limit omaha doctor?

One more thing, I keep getting access denied when trying to delete a trash file. How do I override the file protection to get rid of this obviously mem taking file?

I tried EMCO, it gave me a "msframework3.5 required" which I reloaded. Still same error, so I reloaded EMCO and still have the same error.

I don't know what to tell you to remove the file from the trach if Move On Boot did not work.

Didn't mean to imply they were "in" the trash file. Random files (3) were created on my C: drive, and I can't get rid of them. Same size, same jibberish.
    To get rid of this 30mg I have D/L 90meg w/o results.
Any suggestions on how to get EMCO working?
