MS Money, Quicken alternative

MS Money has always been pi$$ , and the makers of Quicken don't seem to care at all about keeping their customers with these 'improvements' that have been breaking their software for the last 5 or so years.

I'm just curious do any of you know a halfway decent alternative to these 2 apps for balancing checkbooks and keeping up with personal finances? Or should I just bite the bullet and set up an excel spreadsheet myself.

I think this program rocks! I am only using it for balancing my checkbook though, but still, fast fast fast! Imported everything from Money with no problem, and it's much more intuitive to use. You should at least give it a try, only uses about 3.6 megs of hd space. As far as multiple accounts, I couldn't tell you I got the lite version. I made an Excel spreadsheet to keep up with my stocks, CDs, and misc assets and debts. I think I got a good system going finally. AceMoney for a checkbook register, and Excel to manage everything else. Excel gives a level of control none of these packages can, and the spreadsheet only took about an hour to make


PS: Thanks again for the recommendation (even if ya haven't used it yet hehe). I didn't really think there would be something this good out there!
