I can't find the answer to this anywhere on the net.

I have a chunk of text, about 45 pages worth, I need to break up and separate the words from the paragraphs into individual words, example:

    I need to turn this:

a dog and a robot walked along the beach. they liked to play, one day the robot slipped and fell on a jelly fish, they both died that day.

    To this:

    a
    dog
    and
    a
    robot
    walked
    along
    the
    beach.
    they
    liked
    to
    play,
    one
    day
    the
    robot
    slipped
    and
    fell
    on
    a
    jelly
    fish,
    they
    both
    died
    that
    day.

The punctuation is not important, but the words being in their own row is, if anyone can help me solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated, thank you! *original poem by myself just made it up as i typed heh :)

That can be done with Excel by copying the sentence to Excel and then separating the words into separate cells using the Text to Columns command and then copying that row of words and using the Transpose option in the Paste Special panel. Then, you could copy that column of words back to Word. But, this procedure may not be practical for a large volume of text such as the 45 pages you mentioned. I do not know how to do it using only Word.

By the way, can you state the purpose of this exercise?

Thank you usafveteran, I didn't know that way. I just learned a new way from searching as well, in word, home>replace "blank space" with ^p. It's for a project, the project involves text samples from two sources, and an attempt to prove if the two sources are likely the same original source. Just trying to sort out 45 pages, already have a large match for 2 word combinations, 3 word, 4 word, 5 word and 6 word, many, many matches, I'm 100% sure they are the same individual. The plagiarism checkers can't think, and can't distinguish common phrases with amazingly unique phrases, so I must systematically go through every phrase, the 6 word combinations being the most important, but even a weird 2 word combination can be very important. Thank you!
