MSconfig - Diagnostic StartUp

My son inadvertantly went into MSCONFIG and selected Diagnotic Start-Up thinking that would put him into Safe Mode.

Ever since, no matter what is checked now, the system seems to think it is in Safe Mode, whether it is or not. We can't run some programs now, it has Norton disabled etc.

Any idea how to fix this?

 

Do a system restore from the earliest point before the time your son made that change.

Instructions:
1. Open Start Menu -> All Programs -> System Tools -> System Restore
2. Select Restore my computer from an earlier time.
3. Click Next
4. Choose the earliest date before your son changed msconfig.
5. Click Next
6. Read the Warnings and do anything you need to do.
7. Click Next and let it work its magic.

I'd wait for other people to reply because mine is sort of a last resort but the only way I can think of.

 

Go into Msconfig
Start/Run.Type in Msconfig.Under the general tab select normal startup.You will be back in business.

 

system restore is not working 4 me are there any options how to fix my pc? i think I and leezza has the same problem...
