I've been directed here from the Malware Forum (from this thread) about my cousin's computer. The malware issues seem resolved, but the computer still experiences a large slowdown for about 5 minutes after booting into Windows and still has msinfo32 errors. Chaslang suggested that I might have some services that are disabled which are causing other problems in Windows. Anyone have any ideas? If you need more information (such as a list of what services are installed/running), let me know, and I will do my best to respond.

Urk. Anyone? I'd just format and reinstall (it's a Dell, so it's got the Windows Product Key on a sticker on the bottom), but I don't have an XP Pro disc lying around for the install.

Dells usually come with a hidden recovery partition that restores the computer back to factory condition. What is the model and number after the model so I can check.
