Msn Messenger and IE explorer not working properly

    Whenever I start MSN messenger it signs me in and then after about ten seconds I get an error message saying it encountered a problem and needs to close. The program works fine for the first ten seconds. Ier explorer is doing the same thing. I ran spybot, ad-aware, and norton anti-virus with all of the latest updats and have had no luck. so now i turn to the experts for help.

    Also I can not view pictures in windows explorer. it says explorer.exe encontered a problem and needs to close too. i also ran hijack-this with no luck
