msn

Hello all.

I seem to be having so problems with msn. first msn 7.5 was being all weird and stuff, so I tried to update, and got this error: http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/9619/error3ad9.jpg so I tried to uninstall msn 7.5 and get this error http://img226.imageshack.us/img226/7180/error1ck3.jpg can anyone help me?

 

Check to see if the windows installer service is set for manual:

Click START, then RUN, then type in services.msc (press enter).
Scroll down till you see windows installer. Is it set for manual?

Is this xp home/pro with sp2 installed? Do you have all windows updates?

 

Also try:

Windows Live Messenger is a different program than MSN 7.5 so I am wondering why you are getting the message you are.

Did you try to install Live Messenger recently?

 

From the pictures that the OP gave, the first error message was from live messenger itself.

 

Thats why I was wondering why 8Ball was uninstalling 7.5?

Is the problem with Live Messenger or MSN 7.5

I just re-read the post. I guess he's upgrading to Live messenger and having a problem. Sorry I misunderstood the first post.

8Ball... what error were you getting with MSN 7.5 originally? Before you decided to uninstall/upgrade?

I wasnt getting errors, it just was acting dumb and kicking me off.

When you run dial-a-fix, click "fix windows installer" box (under MSI).
