    Hi, guys,
    Long time no see...

    Here is my issue.
I have a laptop with the MS Visual Studio 2017 Community Edition installed.
Everything was running smoothly, until one day I found that in the middle of editing the file an IDE froze. But just an IDE - the laptop was responsive. I was able to hit ALT+TAB and switch to another application and everything was working fine.
I started the Task Manager and saw that the Studio took about 60-65% of CPU.
I am sure that there was no update to download as I was just installed some of them and rebooted.
So I killed the Studio and started it again. Was able to work for about 1 day and then the laptop froze when I was in MSVS again with the same symptoms. Laptop is responsive, MSVS is not.

    Am I infected?
Should I run R&R to verify?

I tried to close couple of files in my project - this time I was able to run for about 3-4 days and the IDE stopped working again.

Maybe I'm hitting some kind of memory restriction? Or I should clean the cache somewhere?

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

If it is only the one program, I seriously doubt it is a malware issue. I would suggest you first pursue this issue in the software forum first.
