    I am in Deep...From my girlfriends computer I followed instructions from this site and download programs. I have attempted to execute all procedures in the READ & RUN ME FIRST with mild success...First my computer would only boot in Safe Mode with command prompt where I deleted unused programs then forced a shutdown due to my computer freezing...I was able to partially complete step 1. After removing unwanted programs I had to reboot several times in safe mode before I would be able to login before it froze again. Once I was in on as an administrator the wall paper turned white, leaving my right mouse button unable to pull up a menu; also the control panel and run button were not in the start menu, the task manager worked intermittently, and most anti virus websites were blocked.. I was able to access the control panel through the explorer by press the window key + e and run programs like msconfig by locating the executable file in the windows folder after the deletion of the java editions, which was completed after several reboots. Then when attempting to install only the latest edition jre-6u7 errors came up if the installation even began...ex. error claiming unable to connect to the Java website. Next, I ran msconfig to reboot in Normal Startup mode. Now, my wallpaper is ok, right mouse click functions, and run and control panel icons are incorrectly shown with unknown file type icons in the start menu but work. I ran CCleaner and cleaned up the registry along with other files.
    Now, hidden files are shown but websites are still blocked leaving me unable to download appropriate files but I used a USB to transfer the programs. I am unable to shutdown, restart, or log off through the start menu or task manager(the icon pops up in the system tray but with no functionality). I press and hold the power button to turn the computer off...I have been trying to heal my computer for the last 3 days with small improvements...OK so here I am pushing my pride aside and asking for help...HELP ME, TOM CRUISE. USE YOUR MAGIC.
