MultiMax????

Hi. I just received an email in my outlook express that appeared to be sent by me, to me. As I looked a little further at it the email had my exact email name except it was sent from _________@multimax.com I tried to the exe. file but my computer stopped me from doing so. I checked the internet for multimax listings and only found a website promoting multimax as a email forwarder/multiband auditor limiter which you can download as free software. Does anyone know if this email I received is harmful or have any ideas how I might have gotten this on my computer? Thanks. Matthew.

 

If you dont know how it got there then I would delete it. Also I would recommend following the below steps just in case...

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
