Multiple BSOD

Lately my computer has been going downhill. Sometimes when I log in, I immediately get a message saying "Generic Host for win32 processes" (or something similar) hasd performed an illegal operation and must be closed.

Randomly, when I'm on the internet firefox will perform an illegal operation and close. Sometimes I cannot get it to re-open without restarting. However, severl attempts to restart and login result in a BSOD with the following message "win32k.sys BSOD page_fault_in_nonpaged_area? 0x00050 stop"

I've tried to do a system restore, but the computer restarts half way through and says no changes have been made.

Any help is appreciated.

Maxtor 6L160P0 160 GB
widescreen 19" monitor

Your problems may or may not be related to malware. Sounds more like a hardware or software forum issue though. The best way to know is by having you complete the below.

I ran everything except MG tools. The blue screens seem to have subsided. Are there any symptoms that I should look out for as an indication of hard drive failure?
