Multiple files that say they cannot be scanned

    I have run a few virus and spyware scans recently and the same set a files keeps comming up that they cannot be scanned. I am not sure what this means but I want to make sure nothing is wrong...

    This was from Avast virus scan...

    Files scanning started...
    C:\Documents and Settings\Owner.YOUR-US67PI6LUV.000\Local Settings\Temp\hsperfdata_Owner\9416... file could not be scanned!
    C:\Program Files\HPSelect\ahtd\data\WIN32\OWL50F.DLL... file could not be scanned!
    C:\Program Files\HPSelect\Amazon Trail 3\Movies.mov\12056.mov... file could not be scanned!
    C:\Program Files\HPSelect\Amazon Trail 3\Movies.mov\2046.mov... file could not be scanned!
    C:\Program Files\HPSelect\CIE\CIE\MONTAGE\EUROPE.AVI... file could not be scanned!
    C:\Program Files\HPSelect\CIE\CIE\SOUND\WDCOCK.WAV... file could not be scanned!
    C:\Program Files\HPSelect\Cluefinders Math\Rsc\LBtoCS.smk... file could not be scanned!
    C:\Program Files\HPSelect\Dr. Seuss Reading Games\MHK\CREDITS\CHCREDC.MHK... file could not be scanned!
    C:\Program Files\HPSelect\Kid Pix Deluxe 3\DATA\Players\Shockwave Flash SA-PPC... file could not be scanned!
    C:\Program Files\HPSelect\ps12\Broderbund\Core Fonts\ALOEE___.TTF... file could not be scanned!

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot2\edb.log... file could not be scanned!
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot2\edbtmp.log... file could not be scanned!
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot2\tmp.edb... file could not be scanned!

    Any feedback would be appreciated!

    First, are you having any problems as in performance? Sometimes files that are in use can't be scanned, could be the cause.

    If you are having problems please follow the below information:

    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
