Multiple profile cleaner? Is there one?

Hi All,

I like to run CCleaner to rid my pc of unwanted files etc..... however, there are multiple profiles on the pc and CCleaner only deletes files from the profile that your are currently logged in as.

Is there a similar program that will clean unwanted files from your pc but within ALL profiles?

You will need to be logged in as the system administrator to do this!

 

Even as system admin, Ccleaner doesnt delete the files from other user profiles

Yes, and you can configure CCleaner to clean out selected folders. If you are the administrator, you can add the temp file directories of all the other users! Here's how:

1. Launch CCleaner
2. Hit alt+o (Or click the 'Options' button)
3. Press the 'Custom' button

Here, we can define any folder or file that needs to be cleaned in subsequent runs of CCleaner. Add the temp directories of the non administrative users, and you should be good!

 

WHat I do is change the environment variables for all my temp folders for all the profiles to point to the same place. I actually have a specific partion for things like temp files, temporary internet files and page file. This makes cleaning pretty simple.
