I am using Windows XP Home ed. and about 3 yrs or so ago, I got this pc. I think I really messed it up when I was setting up user accounts. I no longer have an ADMINISTRATOR user. I have one named Linda, that has Administrator privileges and one named GUEST, that has limited privileges. I am not able to install some software that requires ADMINISTRATOR user, and really need to fix it. Does anyone understand what I'm talking about and if so, does anyone know how I can correct it? I've tried renaming the Linda user to Administrator, but that doesn't let me. HELP please!

    Thanks in advance,

You likely just never noticed it wasn't there. When using XP Home Edition, you can only access the Administrator account in safe mode.
