Oh, I'm not sure I have anything left to turn grey. The kids did that to me a long time ago.:p

Omg...where's Fred with his gun when we need him?? LOL

Happy sweet sixteen, Claudia! :) :cool

Yeah, Laura my 'baby' daughter turns the big 18 next May. I'm getting too old for this stuff!:( Great pic. of her as a baby. I'll have to dig out my kiddie pics, (no, not of me - I don't even have any of them, (well, whaddya expect - I am the Phantom, right?)), but of my progeny.;)

I made the huge mistake of buying my daughter one of those 'Tickle Me Elmo' laughing dolls when my daughter was little. I can tell you that the racket it made got old real fast! My bro came over with his dog one day and the mutt ripped poor old Elmo's head off, chewed it up and and buried it :yum.
    ~ R.I.P. Elmo.:( .LOL

Thanks Phantom!:) 18? Wow. Not too far away for me either. :(

A fitting end to a most obnoxious doll. :-D

New driver. One of the scariest phases of her life ( or rather, of your life!! ).

Lol. Yeah I have to say she's not scared at all.

She should be!!! Too many crazies and drunks on the road!!

Tell me about it! I told her that even if she is doing everything right the thing she really has to worry about are the other idiots on the road.

Well, she and her friends (and her younger sister) are on their way into Philly to go out to dinner (my husband is doing this part of the day). They got all dressed up. I think I'm more worried about that than the driving. roflmao

I remember getting my driver's license, was awesome.

Congrats, or 'sorry to hear that'. ;)

Tell her I said not to be worried about the road test. Simplest thing ever ^^

Hey Laura, give Claudia my congrats for passing her drivers test and well I'm safe as we have a large body of water between us :)

best thing I was taught was to be confident but careful, so at junctions that have weird rights of way and "roundabouts" (yeah we have these fangled things in UK, think some states in USA have these, but not many as you can only just drive in straight lines hehehehehehe ;) )was to judge the traffic at least 3 cars ahead and that will give you a good idea of whats going on in front of you.

    OR drive a tank!

But the Elmo, does she still have it?

Awww, Laura, how cute she is!

    16 huh? I remember when I was 16. Good luck ;) LOL

I suggest we declare war on Britain for bringing roundabouts into existence. They keep jamming them in here, and I will drive ten miles out of the way to avoid the stupid things.

I want to buy the worlds largest bull dozer, and drop the ripper and drive through the middle.

    Worst idea since...VISTA!

    Thanks all.:)

She's out driving now with her father. I took her out earlier. She's actually pretty good.

I wasn't happy with her this morning though when she called me just as her father and I were heading out to play golf.

Her friend had some ball on the counter which happen to be housing the fish tank and my laptop. Ball met fish tank which proceded to break and then water met my laptop. :cry

It's drying out now and I"m hoping it's going to work.

Right now I'm on my old laptop running it in safe mode since it blue screens every time I try to run it in normal.

Let's say me not being happy is an understatement. lol

Ah well I would hold my hands up to that one on both counts, but roundabout are neat, good for traffic flow if you know how to use them properly, too many stop when its ok to go.

Vista, well not as bad as its portrayed but not as good as it should have been and in Windows 7 is what it should have been, too many legal issues surrounding Vista and anti-competitive stuff to make it any good at all, but it was a starting point.

Good on driving and not so good on fish, water and laptop!

Hope you can get it dried out and working!

Oh dear! - Looks like the laptop has taken another 'christening'. I hope that you can resurrect it again. :(

Re Roundabouts:- Yeah roundabouts work well when they are a decent size. Unfortunately, they make them way too small to be useful over here.rolleyes

Roundabouts... is that what they drive on in nascar? :-D Left turn Clyde.

I've used Vista a couple of times. I almost went to Linux after that.

There's no freeware alternative to Roundabouts...

Gee, I just spotted this thread. A belated Happy Birthday to Claudia.

Wow, Laura's laptop got a cold shower .... :( Hope it can be fixed and that the fish did survive the assault.
