Anyways, I'm not gonna be able to be on the forum on the 16th, 19th, and 20th, because of my bday.

By the way, internet access is not that old. I turned 13 in 1984.

 

I believe the internet was just about then? I recall people saying that they sent emails in 1985, so prototypes must've been available then.

 

The WWW as we know it wasn't really in existence unil 1989, and not commonly in use until the mid-1990's. Military systems were, of course, in use before then (also some university networks).

I'm sure someone will dispute me, but I'm in the ballpark.

It was exceeding, but I kept shrinking, and then when I got it to 8kb, it said "Cannot use an animated avatar". How did you do it?

 

Maybe they have changed policy, since I put mine up here.
I believe that animated .gif's can be used to carry certain malware.
They have been locking up anything that may be a security issue. That may have been one of them.

Start a thread about that, might make some interesting reading.


Edit: How did you animate it? I used UnFreez to animate mine.

 

I used picasion.com. Used that website for a couple of years.
