So I'm finally putting the finishing touched on my first build/mod that was "running" last fall.

    done:
-removed a fan guard from the front bezel and cut away at the tin behind it to make room for a pair of 80mm fans
-dremeled a large rectangle in top of case revealing top of PSU and space between PSU and back of Disk drives (mounting a pair of 60mm exhaust fans here and placing some kind of graphic art over the PSU the whole works gets covered with a clear acrylic window/fan bracket)
-trimmed the hole with some black automotive trim
    -painted the disk drives black
-painted the entire gutted gaze black- the side panels and front bezel still have the factory paintjob (black) I also painted the I/O plate black.

    To Do

    1) make two fan mounting brackets out of some clear acrylic plastic
    -and mount the fan bracket/fans/windows
    2) paint the paintable parts of my Vid card with some clear UV reactive paint
    3) install everything
    4) wire everything
    5) rewire everything for cable management

    Questions
Do all cold cathodes make UV reactive things glow?

Has anyone ever used clear UV-reactive aerosol paint before? tips?

Would putting felt between vibrating components (hdd, opticals, psu) and the case help dampen the noise?

    Finished product

-large factory window on side panel, w/ blue LED fan as the centerpiece
-window on top that show cases some artwork on top of the psu and holds two exhaust fans
-two led intake fans on front
    -UV reactive data cables
-UV reactive painted GPU cooler, possibly part of CPU cooler, and parts of hdd
-both optical drives painted black to match interior of case

update: Well Cold cathodes do come in UV and non UV form, thankfully the great customer support at www.xoxide.com changed my order for me- even though it was about to go out the door.

UV spray paint looks good- but their are cheaper alternatives- like 2 dollar florescent paint markers from Walmart (not uv reactive but stand out well under cc lighting)

As for the the felt to silence vibrating parts- possible. Won't make much of a difference in my rig as the fans loud.

Thanks to EmAn for sharing some knowledge with me, hoping to build up the knowledge base a little bit by posting the answers.
