    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Why did you have CounterSpy ignore all the problems it found? You need to run it again and quarantine or delete all the problems. You can run it in normal boot mode. Do this now before continuing and save a new log to attach here to your next message.

Also you did not follow our instructions for installing HijackThis and as a result you have it installed exactly where we specify not to install it and you did not rename it which is critical. You have to fix this now and then you will have to attach a new HijackThis log too. Follow the directions in our steps including downloading HijackThis because this will make it easier for you since it defaults to installing it properly. You will then just have to rename the program. Do not rerun HijackThis or attach a new log until doing all of the below.

Now run this Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

Now Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.

So after doing the above, attach the new logs from CounterSpy and HijackThis.

Also please tell me what malware problems you are still having.

The first time I ran counterspy, I ignored the problems (by accident). The second time, I quarantined them. I accidently gave you the log for the first time I ignored the problems. I ran counterspy a third time and it only found a cookie. Here is the new attatchment from Counterspy and Hijack this.

No. That is why I'm asking you what malware problems you are having.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. You can delete the ShowNew.Zip and GetRunkey.Zip files and the files that you extracted from the ZIP files. You can also delete the C:\newfiles.txt and C:\runkeys.txt logs that were created
    2. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • go back to step 8 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    3. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
