    Hi everyone,
I woke up today realizing that my laptop got some trouble. You see, everytime Windows loads to the Welcome screen, it automatically restarts. I don't know why this happens. I tried to go into Safe Mode, running my NIS 2011 and even used "System Restore" in the control panel of Win7 but it keeps restart over and over again no matter what I tried. My final project is in there, and its due date is next Monday. I am so, so worried right now ... please help me fix this, please. Thank you all for reading this.
    Tim.

If you have vital data on the harddrive, i would be wanting to take it out and connect it to another computer. to rescue the data before i try any repairs.

(do you know how/have the ability to remove a HDD and connect it to another computer?)

Download a program called unstoppable copier when you have took your HDD out and hooked it up to another computer. You wont get the typical errors when transferring data. :)

    Hi everyone,
Thank you for all your help. I listened to ~Q~ and moved my final project into my USB, pheww. Fortunately, I can still go into safe mode, there is nothing wrong with that, except the mode "start windows normally", which will automatically restart my computer.

Well, to be honest, I only took my final project out to my USB. Everything is still in my laptop. And I certainly don't know how to take my HDD out. Could you please help me?

I am using Win7 Ultimate. I don't recall doing sth wrong, but the last thing I did before my laptop broke was installing the program "Microsoft Visual Studio 2010", because right now I am studying C++ . That's all I installed this month.

I think that my computer need to be formatted, but the worst thing is the Win7 disk and the Ghost disk I left at my home in Australia (I am an international student in the US right now). Do you guys know how to format my drive and reinstall Win7 without using a disk? Thank you very much.

Depending on how valuable your final project is it may be worth buying another cheap USB flash stick to make another copy of it. Or at least test your USB in another computer or put a copy on a friends computer before working on your own laptop.

One thing that should be safe to do is disable automatic restart on error so that you will be able to see the blue screen with the error message that may be causing the problem. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows7/ht/automatic-restart-windows-7.htm Then try to start in normal mode and post the exact error message here at MG.
