My deepest thanks

Just wanted to take the time to say thanks to all of my friends and acquaintances here on MG. I have been here for many, many years, made numerous friends here and probably even a few who don't care much for me or my infamous wit. This place is a special place for those who have taken the time and the effort to share their experiences and their love for each other here. Tim and Jim have provided us with a very special forum for not only sharing technical information, but also for sharing our lives, loves, and losses with each other. This Major Geek thing is truly a community of committed (or maybe some who SHOULD be committed) individuals who wish to be more a community instead of merely individuals.

Kudos to all who have helped either myself or others here to face not only technical difficulties but also those stumbling blocks that life has a habit of throwing our way.

Great job guys! Keep it up!!!

Too true. Even today, I was cutting a clients' hair and we were talking geek and when I told him that this was the first place I went to when I had questions, he already knew about it from his own questions

Knowing some of the crew (and hopefully meeting more in a few years or so... but more on that later) I know that the HMFIC's put in a lot of time, effort and careing to give us this amazing place to chill and find information.

Sweet and true words Wraith. It's nice to be reminded of the value of friendship and respect found here, and of those who have been a part of our lives that we sadly miss here too, but enjoy such great memories of.

Hey Jack, shiver me timbers here. Gee I just happened to stumble in here and seen this thread. At first I thought you were leaving the forum, but I am glad to see your not.

Life is about give and take ... you have also shared here. Your a great guy and I'm sure a lot of members look up to you.

That sounds like a farewell letter, did Kodo give you some horrible terminal disease? His breath can do that...

 

No guys, not a farewell letter or anything like that (although I have not been here much lately what with having to deal with my own personal reality of losing Dad and everything else). I just wanted to show my gratitude to everyone here. Now I see that I've scared some of my best friends here to wonder if I'm leaving or not, never meant for that to happen. I am very happy to see you guys showing up to put in your .02 cents worth though!
