My documents folder

    Hi all,
    I hope i am putting this in the right forum. I have been cleaning out my documents folder and found a folder "My Downloads" In it are in the neiborhood of mabey 100 cabinet files attributes: hidden most of them date modified 2003 and 2004. I have never seen these before. Can anyone let me know how they got there, do i need them ,can i remove them? confused
