If I install an external hard drive, can I simply move (not copy) the 'My Documents' folder to it and access it on a regular basis? In other words, will all my program defaults that normally point to the 'My Documents' folder now point to it on my external drive?

    Thanks, hcrawford

Right-click the My Documents folder and choose Properties > Move ... follow the prompts :)
