I had to reinstall Windows XP Media Center on my Dell PC. Once I reinstalled Windows I can no longer access documents under the old "My Documents" folder. The folder is there but it tells me that access is denied. I believe it is related to the fact that my old user account was password protected.

The user name an password need to be the same.

If you make the username and password the same and it still doesn't work, just post back and we'll make it work a different way.

I have tried to create a new user with the same name and password as before but it did not work. I have logged in Safe Mode, gone to my computer

    then to

c:\documents and settings\ tried to open the folder and I still get Access denied.

    any ideas?
