My e-mail address being used by spammers [Lans]

I think I am experiencing a similar issue with the exception that my Norton AV is flagging every attempt for a spam to go out. I see about 70 something NAV messages covering my desktop about 3 or 4 times a day. As I close each one, I see in the text of the Norton message that either a e-mail server blocked the spam, or some other message saying the email could not be completed because it was ID'd as spam. I see some text about "Rolex watches" and "meds", but it varies alot.
I ran a full scan with Norton yesterday and it found Trojan.spamthru on one of the accounts on my PC. It has now started on another account. I've run Norton again and it didn't find that virus or any other threat. My Norton did an update on signatures this morning and I ran another full scan, but it still didn't find anything. Ironically while it was doing the scan, it flagged another 79 spam attempts!! Any clues on how to start cleaning this up would be very appreciated.

Ians, I would head to the Malware Removal Forum and start the with the Read & Run First sticky. Follow the steps and start a new thread in that Forum if needed. Your Norton sounds like its finding something but is unsuccessful and purging it (not uncommon with Norton), doubt is a Networking issue.
