my favorate things

this is my favorate passage from the bible. i thought, after all the anger and discussion on immigration, drug use, etc. i would share it with you. it goes some way towards explaining my stance on things, and is something i strive to do. i am not by any means suggesting that anyone should follow these things, only that this is an example of how one can deal with the complications in this world. so here goes:

-May grace and peace be lavished on you
1:3 I can pray this because his divine power has bestowed on us everything necessary for life and godliness. He has bestowed on us his precious and most magnificent promises, so that by means of what was promised you may become partakers of the divine nature, after escaping the worldly corruption that is produced by evil desire.
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith, virtue;
to virtue, knowledge;
to knowledge, self-control;
to self-control, perseverance;
to perseverance, godliness;
to godliness, brotherly affection;
to brotherly affection, love.
For if these things are really yours and are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive. But concerning the one who lacks such things – he is blind.

i desperately hope that this is not an offence against policy or person. i send it with love.

 

In this case the evil desire would be the Senate tryin to make the immigrants seem like low lifes

 

Nice sentiment.

However, I didn't see as much anger in that thread as I did misinformed/uninformed people posting in it.

 

A final note to all concerned:

Give it a rest. Any new threads started in the near future dealing with illegal immigrants, illegal drug use and politics/religion will be deleted.

There is no justification for breaking the law. If you have a problem with the laws in this country or any other country follow the proper legal channels to try and have the laws changed instead of breaking them or advocating that it's ok to break certain laws to try and justify your illegal activities.

Go outside, enjoy the beautiful weather or pop in here to laugh and have a little fun but leave the heated discussions out of the forum for a while.
