My Folding broke...!

My folding client seems to be broken. When I booted my computer after coming home from work this evening, an error message popped up, saying an application "failed to initialize properly", and identified my folding client as the application in question. I have since tried to uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs, and from Advanced Windows Care, but I receive the same error message, this time identifying the Folding uninstaller.

I navigated to the Folding directory and double-clicked on WinFAH.exe, and got the same error message as when I tried to start Folding via the shortcut on my desktop.

Um... now what?

 

UPDATE:
Muskie suggested trying to reinstall over the old client, so I downloaded the file from Stanford, unzipped and double-clicked... annoying WinXP error message sound happened, and the exact same error message as before.

I'm confused now.

"The appliction failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the appplication."

That comes up when I doubleclick. When I highlight the Folding installation file and hit Enter, the same thign happens. The window needs to be x'ed out, or I need to click twice on OK, before it goes away.

 

I have deleted the folder and reinstalled. Still no luck

 

I tried to edit my previous message, but the forum won't let me. After reboot, the Folding client started up, asked me for a user name and team number, and is now running happily.

I'm not quite sure what is going on here, but the folding is fixed, so I am happy.
