my grandma passed away

my grandma passed away at 4am last night, according to the nurse it went like this:

she woke up, wanted to lie in a different position and asked the nurse if she could get something for her lips, because they were so dry.
the nurse went to get something for my grandma's lips and when she came back my grandma had passed away.

I don't want to believe this is true, but unfortunately it is.
she's going to be cremated this saturday and here I still am, hoping it's all just a nightmare that I'll wake up from
I don't think I've ever felt a loss this hard... I'm constantly crying and I miss her incredibly.

 

Sorry to hear that Flep. I've lost 3 grandparents in my time, 2 uncles and 1 cousin. It never gets easy to see them go but it brings the family closer for sure. Take some time to be with them. They need you as much as you need them right now. We'll be here when you get back

i know i had too when my grandfather passed away it still seems like it happen yesterday when it happen over 2 years ago

My grandmother was the most important person in my life, and though she passed away a long time ago she still lives in my memory as a person of love, strength, and great courage.

My condolences to you and your family fleppen. Burying those we love is one of the hardest parts of life.

The fact that you miss her that strongly says that you loved her dearly, and no doubt have many many great memories of her. In time, the pain dies and the wounds heal, but the great memories will be yours forever. Cherish those.

 

Know how you feel, lost mine at the end of November last year, wanted to keep it quiet though.

bummer fleppen, sorry to hear this news. I lost my last grandparent 31 years ago, I still miss him to this day, but hang in there, think of the good times and keep her alive in your heart.

I'm so sorry.
It can't be easy. I live with my Grandmother. She's 90 years old. Sometimes, I worry about her dying, you know.

I truly feel for you, man. I hope that the grieving process works out, we must grieve. This is a terrible loss. Please try to give yourself a break, you know this is a hard time for you.

Just make it throught the grieving process, though it may not be very easy to, just make it through, and if people reach out to help you in any way, let them. Don't deny them the opportunity
to be of service to you in this time of loss.

Oh fleppen...I am so very sorry. It's been a year this month since I lost my gramma and I still mourn her loss as if it were yesterday.

I hope and pray that you find comfort in your memories of her and the time you spent together. It sounds like she just closed her eyes and went to sleep when the nurse left the room..if we could all only be so lucky to go that way.

So sorry to hear the sad news, Flepp. Loosing people close to us is never easy, the loss never heals completely, but I do know it gets less with time.

As Jim said, 'prolly best to spend as much time with other family members that were close to her also. The mutual support of each other does much to aid the grieving process.

I've had most of the people close to me die or be otherwise perminantly gone. I just look at it as long as happy memories and decedents exist, then a part of then does continue to exist.

My sincere condolences in these difficult times.

you're not alone fleppen. my aunt just passed away from cancer not 2 hours ago. hard enough to have seen her as frail and helpless as she was, now comes the funeral. sorry to hear about your grandma also. pretty somber week it seems

I've been better, my mom's pretending to be strong, but she's hurting and my dad just feels like crap, don't really know how my brother's feeling.
