My Intel Link 5100 Agn Adapter Stopped Working After Ms Online Update

I updated the driver for my my Intel Link 5100 AGN in my Lenovo SL400c using the MS online update driver tool, when finished it said the driver was updated to 2009 and was the most current update or something like that; however, the adapter no longer worked.

Hoping I could roll back the 2009 driver to the previous driver, I found the Roll Back Driver button was grayed out.

I knew I could not use System Restore becuase System Restore NEVER worked on my laptop.

I then updated the adapter using the Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Intel® WiFi Link 5100 to Version 14.3.2.1 dated 01/22/12, but when finished, the adapter still did not work.

At this point, the Wireless Network Connection reported the adapter is Enabled, and

According to Wireless Network Connection Properties, the adapter is working properly at location PCI bus 2, device 0, function

When I ran the Windows Network Diagnostic tool it indicated there might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection adapter.

A friend said the likely problem was a software or network properties or configuration issue.

Can anyone help me get my Wireless Network Adapter working again.

Have you tried Lenovo's own product detect and update feature? I see they even offer recovery media for some models.................Even if this is a page for a different model, I'm sure you can/ will be directed to the proper......
