OK, bub. Cough up the working schematic (nicely prepared for the
layman) with carefully prepared word for word walkthrough.

Here is a good description...Im using 3: 7500V transformers 2: 12000V transfromers and a 15000V transfromer all 30mA wired in parallel ..In practace its the avarage voltage of the 6 transformers so its more like 10250V at 180mA .....In the pic its jumping 4" pole to pole and was drifting 2" towards me so 6" ..The max iv pulled so far is 10" ......I plan on using the setup to power a tesla coil.....

 

Can that power a small City.. Looks neat are you wearing rubber shoes by any chance.

A freind of mine will prolly be down with a realy nice video camara and shot it for me...and upload it to his web space..( if he has time ) ...I put bigger polls on it the coat hangers i was using were gitting a little warm ....and put a starter resister so it starts a little better..And i have a diode that will take the power of the ladder and this huge capacitor ( 30,000V capacitor rated ! ) i put a AA batt on it for size....

an arc welder! I wonder, is that oil filled?
All my electronic hobbying has been filters/amps. Where
I used pretty much all poly caps which of course
are higher farad/lower voltage. I have seen poly
caps for subwoofer x-overs that were almost
as big as a soup can though.

I think its oil filled ....I think it came out of an old Xray machine .....

 

A lot of old T.V.s (the valve ones) also have some large capacitors for the H.V. circuits. I remember getting some nice 1 Farad caps and such from them. They pack a punch!

Update: throwing 12" ( not including drift ) arcs now......its drawing enough power to make the small power cord im feeding it with heat up...12" arcs are a little scary so i think im about done... im prolly ganna set it up behind glass on the porch for hallowen ...
