My laptop is a Dell Latitude D610 with Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2.

Everytime I try to connect the laptop to my home wireless network, it shows that it is acquiring the network address, and then it will just show that it cannot connect. I have managed to connect 3 different laptops to my home wireless network, so i don't think my wireless router is the problem.

Is there a problem with my laptops IP address? Please help me fix this issue.

check you adaptor properties to make sure your IP adress is set to "Automatic". after that, go to the command prompt by click start, run, then type cmd in the run box. After that, inside the command prompt, type ipconfig /release
    then type ipconfig /renew
this should make your machine aquire a new ip address form your router.
still having trouble then go back to the command prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns
if that is not working then make sure your router and laptop are using the same wireless technology....example . is your router and "n" or a b, g. and is your laptop an "n" or a b, g.
