Not sure if this is the correct forum, but my monitor is jerking up and down and scrolling by itself. It started about a week ago, then it seemed fine. It happens when I open applications like word or IE. It happens erratically, like right now it's fine, but I'll go to another open window and it will be jerking up and down as I try to use the mouse. I have a Dell flat panel and called tech. support and they talked me through a video diagnostic test is safe mode to check the video driver and it was fine. Then the tech asked me to unplug the monitor and plug it back in...didn't fix anything. Then the tech. wanted me to do a system restore and I'd rather not do that. Somehow I think when they read their script they pick the least likely solution, KWIM?
The monitor is less than 2 years old, could it be the monitor? The mouse?
Any help would be great. I don't think it's the mouse, the page just jumped again and I wasn't touching the mouse. Thanks

I would suspect the mouse, I had a simililar issue about a year ago and it was the mouse. I would suggest plugging another mouse in just to rule it out. If it's not the mouse, then you can have the pleasure of telling me "Told ya so" other than that, the only other possible thing I can think of would be the monitor video cable, wiggle it a bit and see if it makes your screen go funky.
