My New VGA Cooler

Just got myself a Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer. Looks kind of like the blow dryers that were on the nvidia cards, but with a lot less noise, I can't even hear it. Case temps have dropped 2C, and I just know that the ATI core should be around 40-45C load now, and not 70C odd.

hey cashy that looks nice i was thinking of changing my fan on a geforce4 t14200 one of the things putting me off is the fact that you cant bloody see it through the window when are they going to make the graphic cards sit the other way up so we can show them off better in our nice modded cases

 

probably never, this works better for airflow as the back of a vid card doesn't get as hot as the GPU itself thus flipping the GPU over to the other side would require even bigger cooling solutions on both GPU and CPU.

that said, nice looking cooler man, did it improve your max overclock or not?

Only need one slot, and I have 4 to choose from.

 

What about sound card, network card, firewire cards

Dont get me wrong i have lost at least one pci with the waterblock on the ATI but is worth it to cool it down to 40C

Like you say they must hit around 70C as standard and that heat gets sucked straight into the CPU

No doubt some s a will tell me his ATI is so cool it give him frostbite to touch the heatsinks but i live in the real work not Venus-- yes bad day at the office can you tell

 

I have a Hercules Game Theater XP 7.1 in the second PCI slot.

Nic in 3com, onboard the motherboard, and I don't use firewire.

besides, you don't use the first pci anyway as it and agp share irqs
