my own pc xp problem

when ever i play GTA SA every so offten i will get a blue screen saying begining memory dump thin tells me to restart the pc because it shut down windows to keep from causing damage to my pc. it says it made a log but i dont know where to find it. can someone tell me where to find it so i can get on with finding out what my problem is?

 

What else is running when you are playing GTA? Is event log in Admin Tools showing any errors? Also what exactly is the BSOD saying?

Try turning off Data Execution Protection (DEP) before playing the game.

Zip up and post the memory dumps.

They are located in C:\windows\minidump.

 

That probably won't help. DEP requires a processor with PAE. Software DEP protection is EXTREMELY limited, and even then, does not effect anything but system files. That would be only the AMD64 based CPUs, and probably the newer Intels as well.

Different cause for each crash. It looks to be driver related, but the fact that one time it was caused by ntoskrnl.exe, and then another time by win32k.sys, doesn't bode well.

I'd start by updating your video and audio drivers first, as two of the four errors were either directly or indirectly involved with them. Don't be afraid to try older drivers with that video card--I have a 9700pro here that crashes with the last 3 revisions of drivers.

I would take the overclock off while troubleshooting as well.
