My PC is not working.

Now when I turn on my PC, nothing happens except that I can hear the fan moving. The PC light is not on. The keyboard does not responds (usually the cap lock, num lock and scroll lock buttons will blink when the PC is booting up). The monitor says no signal is received. Does anyone know what may be wrong?

I didn't do anything to the PC between the last time I used it and today. The only thing I can think of which might affect the PC is that I vacuumed my room yesterday. Would it be the statics from the vacuum or something? Please give your advice. Thank you.

i had the same problem about a month or so ago,

all the fans were on,

i had accidently knocked the power supply to the motherboard,

pushed it back onto the board, and all was well

other than that i dont know?confused

I just re-read your post...I thought you vacumed inside the PC If you are plugged in a grounded outlet, the vacum probably didn't cause it. You could try checking things inside to make sure all are seated right

 

As musksnipe says, you might have a loose, or, poorly seated component.
If you know a bit about your computer, the, remove power plug, remove side panel, and if you do not have an antystatic wrist strap, make sure you touch the framework first to discharge any static.
