My PC is sending out e-mails

Hi! Everyone,

My PC started sending out e-mails to persons I do not even know nor they are in my address book. I noticed this because of the Antivirus on my PC which scans all the out going messages. It used to one or two messages when it started two days back but now it is sending every second. Could someone help...........I have already tried it with Antivirus, Ad Aware etc.

what do the emails it's sending contain? screen saver attachments? ads?

It is some sort of virus, though. It might be killing your virus scanner or something like that. Try AVG as a virus scanner. Not many viruses kill it.

 

are you sure it's your pc sending out messages.. is nortons telling you of this activity.. does your sent items contain this bogus emails being sent?

 

I do not see them in sent messages but every second Norton antivirus is scanning sent messages. My ISP even suspended my connection saying that I was sending spam.

 

First thing to do is run a GOOD anti-virus program like Norton, McAfee or AVG. Second run Adaware (you can get it here at MG) and any other spyware detection program you prefer. It sounds to me as if you have picked up a nasty little email bug m8.
Hopefully these measures will remedy the situation.
