my screen recorder is killing my instant messenger

long story short i use growler gun cam to record my game play sometimes but it screws up my interface on my pidgin instant messenger

im assuming it has to do with the gtk that is used for the interface of the messenger any ideas how to stop this?

yes it open with a batch i made for my game so closing just growler doesnt work until i close the game as well then i have to restart the instant messenger

yes in fact i just updated pidgin the other night
but the problem has been going on for a while

last i checked my graphics are up to date like i said i believe it is a conflict with the gtk interface the browser uses
