My screen resolution changing each bootup

    I inmstalled a new cheapish mobo an ABIT SG-72 and now every time my comp reboots the screen resolution is changed to big it must have soemthing to do with the new hardware install so any ideas please..

    Do you have the latest video drivers and motherboard drivers? If theres a small screen, ti could be booting in safe mode if there is a problem, but it would notify you that it is in safe mode.

    Future reference, I would not buy an SiS chipset in the future. On an Intel machine, I prefer Intel chipsets. At a minimum, SiS Video cards (and oddly enough Intel) are the joke of the 3D video card industry. Buying a board without onboard video is a better bet.

    Thanx M.A all is fine now, much appreciated for the advice, i had installed everything correctly and for some reason after 2 more reboots all is good now..:)

    As for the Mobo the one i wanted in my price range were out of stock last friday (i had to go for a cheapish board) so i ended up with the one i got,

    Although i may yet buy a new mobo before the months out when my money goes back in the bank. ;)
